About Me

I am a recovering perfectionist, hopeful romantic, wellness advocate & fellow human.

As a third-culture Taiwanese-American who immigrated to the US at the age of 14, I am a product of “othering,” oppression, and perceived rejection and abandonment.

The feeling of not being “Asian” nor “American” enough for my country of origin or adopted country led me to feel stuck trying to figure out who and what I “should” be to finally find acceptance and belonging…

Needless to say, I struggled with my own version of depression, anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and identity crises.

After graduating with my bachelor’s at the University of Central Florida, I began my career in corporate marketing and e-commerce in the hotel industry… A few years later, I would find myself at a career crossroads due to corporate burnout and losing passion for my work. With that came the decision to pursue a career change, ultimately leading me to obtain my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University.

As I reflect on my personal and professional journey, I find that growth and healing are dynamic and almost never linear. To me, healing is having the permission to be unapologetically unbothered and the freedom to see and choose different possibilities in life. While I continue to develop clinically, my lived experiences will continue to inform my work as a compassionate, hopeful, and imperfect therapist.

If I have the privilege of ever meeting or working with you…

I wish to remind you that your pain is a beautiful testament to your existence… and I hope to be someone who gets to reflect, to you, the love, hope, joy, and abundance that resides within you.
