At my core, I am a recovering perfectionist, hopeful romantic, pleasure activist, wellness advocate & fellow human.

As a third-culture Taiwanese-American who immigrated to the U.S. at 14, I grew up navigating the complexities of “othering,” oppression, rejection, silent suffering, intergenerational trauma, and the deep sacrifices of my loved ones.

Straddling between cultures, I often felt like I was never quite “Asian enough” or “American enough,” leaving me questioning where I truly belonged.

But through years of struggle, longing, surviving, healing, and growing, I didn’t just find peace—I found the freedom to thrive.

Now, in everything I do, I lead with a human-first philosophy, embracing the richness of my lived experiences to guide my work and purpose.

Life has a way of revealing meaningful truths, shaping my decisions time and time again. That journey ultimately led me to a role I am deeply grateful for every day as a mental health therapist.

After earning my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, I started my career in corporate marketing and e-commerce within the hotel industry. While I thrived in the vibrant and fast-paced world of hospitality, corporate burnout and a fading sense of purpose led me to seek something more meaningful—helping people heal.

Driven by my deep love for humanity and a passion for supporting others, I pursued a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University and moved to New York City to become a psychotherapist.

As a therapist, I challenge taboos and explore the beautifully complex nature of human experiences, aiming to spark curiosity, foster empathy, and cultivate authentic connections.

My own journey of navigating identity, cultural expectations, and professional transitions deeply informs my work—I strive to create a space where people feel seen, validated, and empowered to explore and narrate their own stories.

While I LOVE my work as a psychotherapist, I also felt called to solve some real-world problems as a startup founder.

Stepping into the startup world has stretched me in ways I never imagined, challenging me to embrace both growth and discomfort. Though I don’t always feel “ready” for this role, I often return to a question I use in therapy to help clients navigate uncertainty—”What does readiness look like?”

I won’t share every detail of my internal dialogue, but I will say this: it has been a constant companion, propelling me forward into the unknown—both in life and in entrepreneurship.

Reflecting on my personal and professional journey, I’ve learned that the most meaningful paths are rarely linear or conventional. To me, healing is a dynamic process—one that demands self-trust, authenticity, and the courage to embrace new possibilities.

As I continue growing as a human, psychotherapist, and startup founder, my lived experiences will always shape my work, guiding me as a compassionate, hopeful, and imperfect human being.

I’m always exploring new ways to challenge unhelpful norms and foster meaningful conversations. If my journey resonates with you, let’s collaborate, connect, and create together!
